Insights is the publishing home for the Cyberange team and the wider community that has trained on, deployed, or worked alongside our range. Three things land here: practice notes from current engagements, engagement debriefs once they’re cleared for public discussion, and threat-landscape reads that try to put the week’s headlines in operator-grade context.
What we publish — and what we don’t
What lands here has three properties: it cites primary sources by name and links them, it carries a real practitioner byline (department or named author), and it doesn’t pretend to be neutral when the evidence isn’t. We’d rather publish one substantive post a fortnight than five thin ones a week.
What doesn’t land here: customer-attributable engagement detail without written sign-off; vendor-comparison content; speculation labelled as analysis; anything that reads like a thinly-veiled product brochure. When a Cyberange product is mentioned in a post, it’s because the engagement actually used it — and that fact is disclosed inline.
Contribute to the Range
We are opening the platform to student alumni, current and recent cohorts, and community members who have worked with our team on either side of an engagement.
If you have:
- a hard-earned lesson from the field — a tabletop that broke unexpectedly, a runbook that survived a real incident, an analytic that finally caught the long tail,
- a threat-hunt walkthrough — hypothesis, telemetry, signal, false positives encountered, the final disposition,
- a security build — phygital-scale labs, a SOC analytic pack, a detection content library, a small tool you’d open-source,
…get in touch with us and claim your byline. Editorial review is light-touch: we check for factual accuracy, ask you to link primary sources for any cited claims, and copy-edit for voice consistency. The work stays yours.
Editorial cadence
We publish when there’s something to say, not on a calendar. The 2026 Threat-Intel Calendar is the one exception — it’s updated monthly as the regulatory beats land.
