Cyberange · Learning · Interactive simulators

Operate the real system. In the browser.

A growing catalogue of hands-on simulators for the systems that run critical infrastructure — the power grid, the interbank payment network, a metro line — each with embedded OT/ICS cyber scenarios. Run the machinery, then defend it. No install, no lab kit, nothing routable to production.

What it is

Not a courseware slideshow — a working model you drive.

Each simulator is a faithful, interactive model of a real operational system. You don’t read about how a generator parallels onto the grid or how a fraudulent SWIFT instruction slips through settlement — you do it, watch the state change live, and see what breaks when an attacker interferes. Built-in guided missions, an explain-on-hover layer, spot-the-anomaly puzzles and a learning guide teach the system as you play.

This is distinct from Virtual Labs, our sandboxed Kali cyber range for offensive-security practice. The Learning Platform is about the systems themselves — engineering, finance, and transport — and the OT/ICS security scenarios that ride on top of them.

The catalogue

Three systems live today. More on the way.

Each opens in the standalone simulator app. Everything runs client-side in your browser.

Generator Synchronization

Parallel a synchronous generator onto the grid with a synchroscope — match voltage, frequency, phase and R-Y-B sequence, close the breaker at 12 o’clock, then operate the machine: MW via governor, VARs via excitation, load-sharing across a second unit, and ride through load-frequency and load-voltage events.

Financial Market Infrastructure · Interbank Payments & SWIFT

SWIFT Interbank Payments

Move money across the correspondent-banking network. Route an MT103 through a correspondent bank, watch nostro/vostro ledgers debit and credit, reconcile the end-of-day MT950 — then run the ops desk through a Bangladesh-Bank-style heist: catch fraudulent payment orders with maker-checker, sanctions screening and nostro reconciliation before they settle.

Rail Systems · Signalling & Train Control

Metro Signalling & Train Control

Supervise a metro line from the Operations Control Centre. Run trains at CBTC moving-block headway with a live block-occupancy diagram, set interlocked crossover turnbacks, handle platform-screen-door interlocks, inject faults, ride the degraded-mode ladder, and launch OT/ICS cyber scenarios — every failure collapses fail-safe toward stop.

How it teaches

Learn the system by operating it — and by breaking it.

Guided missions

Step-by-step objectives walk you from first contact with the controls to running the system under load.

Explain-on-hover

Every gauge, ledger line and signal aspect explains itself in context — no separate manual to hunt through.

Spot-the-anomaly

Puzzles drop you into a live incident: find the fraudulent instruction, the mis-set interlock, the off-nominal reading.

OT / ICS cyber scenarios

Attackers interfere with the process itself. Watch the fail-safe logic hold — or fail — and learn where the gaps are.

Pick a system. Run it. Then defend it.

The simulators run free in any modern browser. Talk to us about cohort access, custom sector models, or bringing the platform into your training programme.
